Ingredients

  • 500g extra lean mince
  • 75g shortcut bacon
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • pinch paprika
  • Salt + pepper
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 jar tomato based pasta sauce
  • 100g low fat cheese or mozzarella

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 200 deg celcius.
  2. Chop bacon and cook until crispy. Add all ingredients except the sauce and cheese to a bowl. Lightly wet your hands and roll the balls into decent size meatballs.
  3. Lightly fry on a frypan. Then pop them in an oven safe dish.
  4. Surround them with the pasta sauce. Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake for roughly 15mins.
